Quaker Social Concerns Network Pre-Holiday Gathering

“Why Do We Celebrate This Season? How Can We Do So As Friends?”

The Quaker Social Concerns Network, a newly formed coalition of Friends from several Seattle-area meetings and the North Seattle Friends Church, will hold a pre-holiday gathering for fellowship, networking, and sharing ideas on how to celebrate the winter holidays in a manner consistent with Friends’ testimonies on Community, Simplicity, and Stewardship.

This will take place on Saturday, November 18, 2017, from 10 am to 3 pm, in the Social Hall at University Friends Meeting, 4001 9th Ave NE in Seattle.

Activities will include:
“God Stories” from Lorraine Watson, pastor of North Seattle Friends Church
Unprogrammed Meeting for Worship
A potluck lunch – Bring food to share with others
Homemade music and dancing and group games
Discussion of future activities for the Network
